1-1/4 cup self-rising flour

1/2 stick butter, cold and grated

1/2 cup cold buttermilk

1 TBSP brown sugar

1/4 cup Cinnamon Morsels

1/3 cup crushed freeze dried apples

1/2 tsp apple pie spice

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of apple pie spice.

  2. Stir in 1/2 cup of cinnamon morsels and 1/2 cup of crushed freeze-dried apples until well combined.

  3. Add in 1/2 cup of cold grated butter and toss to coat the butter pieces in the flour mixture.

  4. Pour in 3/4 cup of buttermilk and stir gently to start forming the dough.

  5. Dump the dough onto a floured surface and knead it a few times just until it comes together; add more flour if the dough is too sticky.

  6. Pat the dough into a flat disc and fold it over onto itself. Repeat this folding process a few times to help create layers.

  7. Once folded, pat the dough down to an even thickness, about 1 inch thick.

  8. Using a 2-inch round cutter, cut out your biscuits and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.

  9. Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 16-18 minutes, rotating the baking sheet halfway through to ensure even baking.

  10. While the biscuits are baking, prepare your glaze by whisking together 3/4 cup of powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of apple pie spice, and 3-4 tablespoons of milk until smooth and of drizzle consistency.

  11. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan or microwave.

  12. As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, brush the top of each biscuit with the melted butter.

  13. Allow the biscuits to cool for about 5 minutes before glazing.

  14. Use a piping bag or a spoon to drizzle the prepared glaze over the cooled biscuits as desired.

  15. Serve and enjoy your delicious biscuits, which will yield about 8-9 small biscuits!
