Sausage Balls

Sausage balls never go out of style. Just three ingredients, rolled into balls and baked until golden. They appear at every family gathering—Christmas morning, Thanksgiving snacks, birthdays—because they’re always the first thing to disappear.

1 pound of breakfast sausage, I use hot

3 cups of Colby Jack shredded cheese

2 cups Bisquick

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the sausage and cheese together, then add Bisquick. I add half of the Bisquick and mix it in and then add the other half, it just makes it easier to mix.  You can use a stand mixer for this, but I just glove up and mix by hand.  If it’s too hard to mix in the bowl, you can turn it out on your counter and knead it until it comes together.

Scoop out mix, about a tablespoon, and roll into balls and place on foil lined baking sheet.  Once the balls are rolled out, place in preheated oven for 22-24 minutes or until golden brown and sizzling.  Let cool on baking sheet about 5 minutes, then remove and place in airtight container or your favorite serving dish.  These will keep in an airtight container for a few days, but they usually don’t last that long at my house.  Enjoy!!
